Oracle To Empower 500 UAE Women In AI

The ‘sAIdaty‘ initiative, a collaborative effort between the Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) and Oracle, was officially launched today. Geared towards advancing Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills among women professionals and entrepreneurs in Dubai and the broader UAE, the initiative aims to contribute to the country’s AI economy objectives. Spearheaded by Oracle Women Leadership (OWL), a global program empowering women leaders at Oracle, ‘sAIdaty’ seeks to upskill 500 women members of the DBWC in AI and facilitate their application of the technology in various aspects of their businesses, workplaces, and beyond, to achieve strategic objectives and explore new growth opportunities.

As a year-long initiative, ‘sAIdaty’ will feature training sessions conducted by Oracle experts in collaboration with DBWC leaders. These sessions will cover fundamental AI concepts and applications across diverse industries, including cloud computing, basics of AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, along with real-world use case examples from the region. Additionally, OWL members will host workshops focusing on leadership skills for DBWC members.

Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager at the Dubai Business Women Council, emphasized the significance of the partnership with Oracle, stating that it marks a pivotal moment in DBWC’s commitment to empowering women professionals in alignment with the Dubai Economic Agenda. She expressed confidence that the ‘sAIdaty’ initiative, led by Oracle Women Leadership, will equip 500 members with crucial AI skills, positioning them at the forefront of innovation.

Acknowledging the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on businesses and careers, Nadine added that the collaboration with Oracle aims to amplify this impact across Dubai and the UAE. The initiative reflects DBWC’s dedication to providing facilities and training that enhance its members’ competitive edge, aligning with Dubai’s dynamic vision for digital transformation. Nadine highlighted the ‘sAIdaty’ initiative as a milestone, showcasing their commitment to inclusivity and skill enhancement, emphasizing that empowering women entrepreneurs in technology will contribute significantly to the UAE’s digital economy goals.

The partnership between Oracle and DBWC will involve a variety of activities, including classroom sessions, virtual meetings, speed mentoring events, and networking activities for program participants. Oracle technology experts, industry leaders, and government officials from both the UAE and international markets will be invited to share their expertise and offer guidance on the practical applications of these technologies.

Nick Redshaw, Senior Vice President – Tech Cloud, Middle East and Africa, and UAE Country Leader at Oracle, emphasized the importance of complete participation from all stakeholders and communities to achieve the UAE’s digital economy strategy. He noted that women professionals and entrepreneurs constitute a substantial portion of the UAE’s workforce and stressed the importance of equipping them with skills that foster the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence. Redshaw expressed Oracle’s excitement about collaborating with the DBWC, recognizing it as the UAE’s leading platform for the personal and professional development of businesswomen in Dubai. He expressed confidence that DBWC members will significantly benefit from the ‘sAIdaty’ program and play a vital role in accelerating the adoption of digital technologies in the UAE.
