ServiceNow and Microsoft are strengthening their strategic alliance by integrating their cutting-edge generative AI capabilities to offer enhanced choice and flexibility to employees.

The expanded partnership introduces the integration of ServiceNow’s Now Assist and Microsoft’s Copilot, creating a seamless enterprise experience. This integration aims to simplify common productivity tasks, providing employees with more avenues for unlocking productivity. Now Assist and Microsoft Copilot will collaborate intuitively, meeting employees where they are within their workflows, regardless of the platform they’re using.

CJ Desai, president and COO at ServiceNow, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in advancing generative AI, aiming to transform work processes. He emphasized the partnership’s role in enabling a smarter way of working, where AI assistants coexist and interact to enhance productivity.

Rajesh Jha, EVP of Experiences + Devices at Microsoft, emphasized Microsoft’s commitment to empowering customers in the era of AI-driven productivity. He expressed the value of the collaboration with ServiceNow in improving employee and IT productivity, reducing context switching, and facilitating the execution of daily tasks.

The integration of ServiceNow and Microsoft’s AI assistants within Microsoft 365 aims to streamline employee workflows, allowing Copilot to seamlessly hand off requests to Now Assist in Microsoft Teams. This enables employees to receive responses to inquiries and recommendations for actions in a conversational manner, leveraging Now Assist’s domain knowledge and organizational data from Microsoft 365.

Future capabilities will enable employees to engage Copilot for Microsoft 365 from ServiceNow, empowering AI-driven digital business processes such as document creation in Microsoft PowerPoint based on ServiceNow prompts.
