Cloudera appoints Charles Sansbury as new CEO

Cloudera, the trusted enterprise AI data company, has named Charles Sansbury as its new Chief Executive Officer. The announcement was made by Jeff Hawn, Chairman of the board of directors, who expressed his satisfaction with the appointment. With over twenty years of experience in corporate leadership, Charles Sansbury has demonstrated success in designing and executing effective business strategies that drive accelerated growth.

Sansbury brings extensive knowledge from the software industry to Cloudera. Previously, he served as the CEO of ASG Technologies until its sale to Rocket Software in 2021. Additionally, he held key positions at The Attachmate Group, including COO until its sale to MicroFocus in 2014, and CFO from 2006 to 2011. Before that, Sansbury was the CFO of Vignette from 2001 to 2006.

Expressing his excitement about the opportunity to lead Cloudera, Charles Sansbury acknowledges the company’s strong team, world-class customers, and its status as a technology leader providing crucial enterprise AI capabilities.
