TAHAKOM & Huawei Boost Saudi Sustainability

TAHAKOM, the Saudi Technology and Security Comprehensive Control Company, and Huawei have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at advancing Local Content & Sustainability initiatives in Saudi Arabia. Demonstrating a commitment to reducing carbon emissions and achieving the Net Zero target by 2060, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia seeks to collaborate with Huawei and TAHAKOM under this MoU to jointly promote Public Safety & Smart Mobility. Together, they aim to contribute to a sustainable future.

TAHAKOM paid a visit to Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen, engaging in fruitful discussions about future strategies and visionary approaches to Public Safety & Smart Mobility. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Eng. Hani AlSaigh, Vice President of Supply Chain at TAHAKOM, and Eric Yang, CEO of Huawei Saudi, in the presence of senior leaders from both companies.

The discussions primarily focused on joint initiatives involving knowledge sharing, product localization, and collaborative projects geared towards enhancing local content. The aim is to support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and promote sustainability, particularly by concentrating on reducing carbon emissions. The formalization of these aspirations through the signing of the MOU establishes the foundation for a strategic alliance between Huawei and Tahakom.

The visit and MOU signing represent a significant milestone in the collaborative journey of Tahakom and Huawei, aimed at creating synergies that will drive technological advancements and contribute to the Saudi Arabian landscape. Eric Yang emphasized his dedication to pushing technological boundaries, stating, “Together with TAHAKOM, we have strived to elevate the standard of living and will not stop until road fatalities are completely eliminated.” Eng. Hani AlSaigh underscored the shared vision for the future, stating, “This MOU signifies a significant step towards aligning our technological strengths. Together with Huawei, we look forward to pioneering innovative solutions tailored for the Saudi Arabian market, safeguarding and enriching the smart mobility experience, and enhancing public safety.”

The partnership between Tahakom and Huawei reflects their joint commitment to advancing sustainability and road safety objectives in Saudi Arabia. Together, they aim to contribute to the realization of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 while fostering a more sustainable and secure future for the nation.
